What is PUBG UMP9?

Note: Statistics pulled from http://battlegrounds.party/weapons

The UMP9 is a submachine gun type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS.

The UMP, short for Universal Machine pistol, is a submachine gun designed by Heckler & Koch. The UMP is the successor to the MP5, though both are in service to this day. The UMP9 featured in the game is the 9mm variant of the original UMP45 chambered for .45 ACP. Widely adopted by police and governmental agencies, with wide adoption specifically amongst the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency, it also sees popularity with players as an well-rounded, balanced SMG with manageable recoil and decent firepower.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds UMP9 in detail

The UMP9 deals the second highest damage of all the SMGs, right behind the Tommy Gun, making it a very viable late-stage gun when fitted out with attachments. Its already controllable recoil can be reduced even further with a foregrip and compensator, although stealthy players may opt for a suppressor instead since it already has minimal recoil to begin with.

Trivia

  • The dry reload animation shows the user pulling the charging handle back and letting it go to reset it to its original position after inserting a new magazine, instead of pulling it back and up to lock it in place, replacing the magazine and then slapping the handle down to load the gun.

What is PUBG S1897?

Note: Statistics pulled from http://battlegrounds.party/weapons

The S1897 is a shotgun type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS.

The Winchester Model 1897 “Trench Gun” (simply called the S1897 in-game) was designed by John Moses Browning. More than a million have been produced during its service era, used in conflicts from the Philippine-American War all the way through to the Gulf War. Typically chambered for 12 and 16 gauge, the in-game iteration is chambered solely for 12 gauge shotshell. Since its introduction in 1897 is has seen usage with military, law enforcement and hunters due to its effectiveness in close range combat, and now sees usage within BATTLEGROUNDS.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds S1897 in detail

The S1897 excels in clearing houses with the simple point-and-shoot principle, its spread allowing a greater probability of hitting the target. Careful aim is still essential since missing one shot can easily result in death due to the time required to rack the pump.

With a choke attached, the shotgun gains considerable range in the form of 25% tighter spread, being able to take out opponents from a fairly long distance. The reduced spread means reduced effectiveness in close quarters combat however. The duckbill choke has the opposite effect, spreading the pellets over a wider horizontal area, increasing effectiveness at close range.

  • Modest shotgun.

Update history

Update #12 – v3.8.21.9
  • Increased overall damage and effective range.
    • Increased limb shots modifier (shooting limbs now does more damage).
    • Slightly decreased the damage of the S1897.
    • Reduced pellet spread by 25%.

What is PUBG S686?

Note: Statistics pulled from http://battlegrounds.party/weapons

The S686 is a shotgun type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS.

The S686 is a sporting variant of the Beretta 686 “Silver Pigeon”, a competition-grade over-under style double-barreled shotgun commonly used among American clay pigeon shooters. In BATTLEGROUNDS, it is a relatively common hunting gun used primarily to put down players early in the game before more powerful weapons are found.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds S686 in detail

The S686 offers unparalleled burst damage in CQB due to its ability to almost instantaneously fire two 12-gauge shells, but it quickly loses damage at range unless equipped with a choke, and has a very long reload time, making dealing with enemies at range or more than one enemy difficult. Although it is tied with the sawed-off shotgun in that both have the lowest ammo capacity of the shotguns in the game, the S686 has the fastest rate of fire of all the shotguns, allowing for skilled users to potentially gain an upper hand in otherwise unfortunate situations. When fitted with a choke, the S686 can perform surprisingly well at distances up to 15m. The low ammo capacity leaves no room for error however, as a missed shot can mean a quick death.

Damage falloff starts off immediately. Beyond 285 meters, targets will not take any damage at all.

  • Double barrel shotgun.

  • Increased overall damage and effective range.

What is PUBG R1895?

Note: Statistics pulled from http://battlegrounds.party/weapons/raw/

The R1895 is a pistol type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS.

The Nagant M1895 (simply called the R1895 in-game) is a seven-shot revolver originally issued to members and combatants of the Russian Empire. It was originally chambered for the proprietary 7.62x38mmR round, but because of its dimensions, it can also fire .32S&W, .32S&W Long, and .32H&R Magnum cartridges. It solves the issue of reduced muzzle velocities found on conventional revolvers caused by escaping gas, with a unique gas-seal system, making it one of the few revolvers in the world that can be reliably suppressed with the usage of the proprietary ammunition.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds R1895 in detail

The R1895 is one of the most challenging weapons to use, in that it has severe drawbacks that usually negate its benefits. Its extremely long reload time (with empty reloads being almost as slow as reloading an M249), inability to mount a red dot sight and fire rate slower than any of the other pistols make it a last resort weapon in nearly every situation, unless when sneaking up on players. To make things even worse, as of patch 1.0, the revolver can no longer kill with a single shot even to the head of an unarmored opponent due to damage falloff beginning the moment the bullet leaves the barrel, leaving any full health opponents with just the slightest amount of health.

Damage will continually decrease for as long as the bullet is in flight.

What is PUBG S12K?

Note: Statistics pulled from http://battlegrounds.party/weapons

The S12K is a shotgun type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds S12K in detail

The S12K in BattleGrounds is modeled after the Saiga-12K which is a semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun that is magazine fed. While there are some versions in its real life counterpart that use 20-gauge and .410 instead of 12-gauge rounds, the in-game model uses the 12-gauge version.

What the S12K lacks in range, it makes up in sheer volume. The S12K is a devastating weapon at close range while its semi-automatic mechanism makes killing multiple enemies easier than with its pump-action or double-barrel counterparts. The weapon also has an advantage over other shotguns in its reloading time due to being magazine-fed.

Trivia

  • The QBZ-95 featured in the game is based on the QBZ-95-1. While the fact that it is chambered for 5.56mm ammo would imply that it is the QBZ-97, its usage of non-NATO magazines and the fire selector switch directly above the pistol grip indicates that it is indeed modeled after the QBZ-95-1.

What is PUBG P1911?

Note: Statistics pulled from http://battlegrounds.party/weapons/raw/

The P1911 is a pistol type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS.

The M1911A1 (called the P1911 in-game) is a sidearm chambered for the slow but heavy hitting .45 ACP round. Originally designed in 1911 by John Moses Browning, its popularity with special forces groups and civilian shooters throughout the decades is testament to its fame and reputation as a reliable and powerful pistol.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds P1911 in detail

The P1911 packs a punch in a small package. Its damage output is limited only by the small magazine size and the skill of its operator. It is therefore advisable to find an extended or extended quickdraw magazine as soon as possible if planning to keep this weapon as its magazine capacity is almost doubled, greatly increasing its potential as a backup weapon. Due to its slow muzzle velocity of 250 meters per second, it is inadvisable to use this gun at ranges further than 50 meters.

Damage falloff begins after the bullet has traveled one meter and will continually decrease for as long as the bullet is in flight.

  • Your grandpa loved it.

Trivia

  • The P1911 is modeled after the Colt M1911A1, as evidenced by the humped main spring housing on the back of the grip and square notch rear sight. In game the pistol has a satin nickel finish and is erroneously shown firing the first round in the magazine with its hammer in the uncocked position, although subsequent shots will be fired with the hammer correctly lowered.

What is PUBG P92?

Note: Statistics pulled from http://battlegrounds.party/weapons/raw/

The P92 is a pistol type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS.

Originally designed in 1972, the Beretta 92FS (simply called the P92 in-game) is still in production today. The United States, while still using the M1911 in certain applications, adopted the Model 92 in 1985 to replace the standard Model 1911A1 .45 ACP variant, the replacement designated as the M9.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds P92 in detail

The P92 is the middle ground of the pistols, with a balance of firepower and ammo capacity. With a modest rate of fire and steady hands, this pistol can quickly determine the winner in early game fights while everyone is rushing to find guns. It makes a good backup weapon for emergencies and while extended magazines may seem tempting due to the capacity increase, quickdraw magazines may prove more beneficial for users who frequently reload, at least until extended quickdraw magazines can be found.

Damage will continually decrease out to 832 meters, past that point absolutely no damage will be dealt to unarmored targets.

  • Modest handgun.

Trivia

  • The P92 is modelled on the Beretta 92FS, as evidenced by the groove in the rear left side of the slide to accommodate the larger hammer pin, although the barrel appears to be slightly shorter than that of an actual 92FS.
