What is PUBG Pickup?

This truck is currently being talked about whether it’s a Chevy or Ford? You can find that page at Talk:Pickup.

The Pickup are a list of trucks / off-road vehicles that are drivable in BATTLEGROUNDS.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Pickup in detail

The Pickup can be seen as Miramar’s equivalent of the UAZ – both have closed and open topped variants, and both have roughly the same top speeds. Its high ground clearance and engine torque make it suitable for tackling Miramar’s rough and bumpy desert terrain, being capable of hill starts even on fairly steep inclines, although its stopping distance leaves more to be desired. It also has a wide turning circle, even wider than the UAZ, making it a poor choice when navigating tight turns and corners.

Variants

Abilities

  • Can activate its boost by using ‘left shift.’
  • Can honk the horn of the Pickup by using ‘left click.’

Update history

  • This vehicle was leaked in the game files on November 13th, 2017 from datamined files [1] in the Test Server PC 1.0 update patch notes.
    • Vehicle was introduced in the Test Server PC 1.0 update #3.
      • Vehicle was officially released in the PC 1.0 update on December 21st, 2018.

Trivia

  • The Pickup’s license plate F2HNK (F to honk) is a reference to a common practical joke in the PUBG community — the F key by default enters and exits a vehicle, however, inattentive or new players are often told to press the F key to activate the horn, resulting in the driver’s untimely death.
  • While not an exact reproduction, the Pickup is heavily based on the Third generation Chevrolet C/K with elements of the 1972 – 1979 Sixth generation Ford Bronco/Ford F-Series, such as the flared side skirts and fenders. The Bronco was originally an off-road only vehicle intended to become a direct competitor for the Chevrolet K5 Blazer/GMC Jimmy. The Bronco’s small size, riding on a 92-inch (2,337 mm) wheelbase, made it maneuverable for some uses, but impractical as a tow vehicle.

What is PUBG PG-117?

The PG-117 is a speedboat water type vehicle in BATTLEGROUNDS.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds PG-117 in detail

The speedboat is a relatively quick moving craft, but there’s a huge trade off as the boat has no cover or protection against ranged attacks. Because of this, while it’s a great vehicle for navigating coastal features (and especially dealing with constricting play area), it is very dangerous to operate.

Speed

  • When you activate its boost, you travel between 86 – 91 km/h max speed.

Abilities

  • Can active it’s boost by using ‘left shift.’

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Motorcycle in detail

  • Can be tilted forward in mid air using ‘left control’ and backwards using ‘space.’

Tips

  • The high speed of this vehicle makes it an ideal choice for chasing air drops.

Update history

Trivia

  • The decal found on the side of the motorcycle itself is a tribute to the late father of Twitch streamer BikeMan.

What is PUBG Buggy?

The Buggy is an off-road vehicle in BATTLEGROUNDS.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Buggy in detail

The Buggy is an open frame vehicle with a smaller engine than the UAZs or other vehicles, although it is still powerful enough to drive up a slope after being parked on one. While the engine is smaller, the frame is much lighter, meaning the buggy is relatively fast, albeit highly exposed to incoming fire, lacking any paneling or armor plating. This does however mean that when not driving uphill or on rough terrain, it can maintain its top speed of approximately 90 km/h without having to boost, thus increasing fuel efficiency.

Abilities

  • Can activate its boost by using ‘left shift.’

The Aquarail is a jet ski water type vehicle in BATTLEGROUNDS. This watercraft can be found on Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Aquarail in detail

The Aquarail can hold two players and is significantly more maneuverable than the standard boat, the PG-117.

Speed

  • When you activate its boost, you travel between 74 – 81 km/h max speed.
  • The Aquarail’s speed is affected more by the waves of the water than the PG-117 due to it’s smaller size.

Abilities

  • Can active it’s boost by using ‘left shift.’

Update history

  • This vehicle was leaked in the game files on November 13th, 2017 from datamined files [1] in the Test Server PC 1.0 update patch notes.
